Walking Off A Cliff: Writer’s Block
Writer

“It’s not like you don’t have a choice,
because you do — you can either type, or kill yourself.” ~ Anne Lamotte ~

The truth is that most writers don’t like to write. Here is what they like: to have already written.

Writers block sucks, but is there really such a thing? Seth Godin writes about “talkers block”:

“No one ever gets talker’s block. No one wakes up in the morning, discovers he has nothing to say and sits quietly, for days or weeks, until the muse hits, until the moment is right, until all the craziness in his life has died down. Why then, is writer’s block endemic?” – Seth Godin

Part of the writing process is walking in circles, thinking, more thinking, and then writing bad first drafts. A bad first draft is better than no draft at all. From there you take what you can salvage and write some more. Then more.

I promise, in no time at all you will realize that nothing is stopping you. Now, go write.
