
The fundamental truth in making a great character for any genre is that the character must want something, and the stronger the want, the more compelling the resulting story. This is because desire intrinsically creates conflict, the primary reason in which character is formed. In memoir you want to make sure your real characters seem more real. This is true for prescriptive non-fiction as well a poetry. Today I will show you some examples so you can practice crafting great characters in your books!
